These terms apply when you use skmax.nz or place an order with SKMAX FPV. They should be read with our Returns & Refunds, Ordering & Delivery and Privacy pages. Last updated 1 September 2026.
New Zealand consumer rights are preserved. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.
Using the website
You must use this website lawfully and must not interfere with its security, operation or other customers. Account information must be accurate and you are responsible for keeping your login secure. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to supervise purchases and FPV equipment use.
Products and compatibility
We aim to keep descriptions, images, specifications and availability accurate. Screen colours and manufacturer revisions can vary. FPV components must be selected and installed as a compatible system. Check dimensions, connector type, voltage, current rating, firmware, radio protocol and video ecosystem before installation or power-up. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure.
Prices and payment
Unless clearly stated otherwise, prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Available payment methods are shown at checkout. We may correct an obvious pricing or description error before dispatch; if that affects your order, we will contact you and offer the choice to confirm the corrected order or receive a refund.
Orders and acceptance
An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we received your request; it does not guarantee acceptance or availability. We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch for stock, pricing, payment, fraud-prevention or delivery reasons. If we cancel after payment, we will refund the affected amount. You may request cancellation before packing or dispatch, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed once fulfilment has started.
Delivery
Delivery options, charges and targets are shown at checkout and on our Ordering & Delivery page. We currently focus on New Zealand delivery through NZ Post. Delivery targets are estimates and may be affected by rural locations, public holidays, severe weather or carrier disruption. Your rights relating to late, lost or damaged deliveries remain protected by law.
Returns, refunds and warranties
Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains how to report a fault, arrange an approved return and request a change-of-mind return. Manufacturer warranties are additional to, and do not replace, applicable rights under New Zealand consumer law.
FPV safety and lawful use
FPV drones, LiPo batteries, chargers, propellers and soldering tools can cause injury, fire or property damage when used incorrectly. Follow manufacturer instructions, use appropriate protective and charging equipment, remove propellers during bench setup and stop using damaged batteries or components. You are responsible for operating equipment lawfully and safely, including checking current Civil Aviation Authority rules, airspace restrictions, landowner permission and local requirements. See the CAA Part 101 drone guidance.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SKMAX FPV is not responsible for loss caused by misuse, unsafe operation, incompatible installation, unauthorised modification or a failure to follow clear instructions. We do not exclude liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded. For business purchases, any agreement to contract out of the Consumer Guarantees Act must be in writing and meet the requirements of New Zealand law.
Intellectual property and third-party links
SKMAX FPV branding and original site content may not be copied or commercially reused without permission. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Third-party links are provided for convenience; their services and policies are controlled by those third parties.
Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version here. Orders remain subject to the terms and laws that applied when the order was placed. These terms are governed by New Zealand law and disputes are subject to New Zealand courts and tribunals. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
