Who we are and how to contact us
SKMAX FPV operates the online store at skmax.nz. For privacy questions or to request access or correction, email [email protected].
Information we collect
- Account and contact details, including name, email, phone number and delivery and billing addresses.

- Technical and usage information, including IP address, browser, device, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, referral source and security logs.

Why we use personal information
- To create and secure accounts, process payments, fulfil orders, provide delivery updates and manage returns.
- To answer questions, provide customer support and keep records of requests and resolutions.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access and to maintain the security and reliability of the store.
- To meet tax, accounting, consumer law and other legal obligations.
- To understand store performance and improve products, navigation and advertising. Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or marketing, we rely on that consent.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep the cart, checkout, login and security features working. Analytics and advertising technologies may measure visits, conversions and campaign performance. Browser settings and any cookie controls shown on the site can be used to limit non-essential cookies, although some features may work differently.
Who we share information with
We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers that help run the store, such as SiteGround and WordPress/WooCommerce hosting services, payment and fraud-prevention providers, ShipStation and NZ Post delivery services, email providers, security services, and analytics or advertising platforms. We may also disclose information when required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Some providers may process information outside New Zealand. Where the Privacy Act 2020 applies, we take reasonable steps to use providers and arrangements that provide appropriate privacy safeguards.
Storage, security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No online system is completely risk-free. We retain account, order, tax and support records only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute resolution and fraud prevention, then delete or anonymise them where practical.
Your choices and rights
You may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to or correction of that information. You may update many account details through My account and can opt out of marketing using the unsubscribe method in a message. Email [email protected] for privacy requests. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information.
If you believe your privacy concern has not been resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version and its update date will be published on this page.
